John and Justina were married the first weekend of March at the Stanford Park Hotel with their closest friends and family in attendance. Relatives flew in from across the globe to see these two say “I Do” and it was such a testament to the love and bonds that surround this couple. I have known the bride for years when she came over from South Korea in high school, and it was wonderful to not only see her again after almost ten years, but to have the opportunity to photograph her wedding to John.
Their ceremony which was held in the courtyard of the hotel during a perfect afternoon was sweet, and their handwritten vows were so beautiful. After the family and friends formal photos we had about 30 minutes to photograph John and Justina together, and it was such a joy to take their first portraits as husband and wife. As more people trickled in during cocktail hour we made our way upstairs to photograph the reception venue, and welcome the two onto the dance floor for their first dance. Great toasts were given, lots of fun dancing, yummy cake, and I was so impressed that John and Justina went out of their way to say hello to each person that came.
The gorgeous flower arrangements came from Victoria’s Floral & Event Design, and the wedding coordinator Sarah made sure that everything ran smoothly and on-time (which is so helpful!). Justina’s Dress was a torn silk gown, and her jewelry was Swarovski and gifts from her sweet mother-in-law. This was my first wedding of 2013, and I hope that all of them are as full of love, happiness, kindness, and beautiful as this was. John and Justina, congrats again on such a gorgeous wedding, I hope you enjoy reliving glimpses of your wedding day below, and best of luck in this new chapter of life.
